Aga Muhlach receives lifetime achievement award

Actor Aga Muhlach has received a lifetime achievement award on Sunday during the 49th Box Office Entertainment Awards sponsored by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

“He was a unanimous choice of the jurors for the Corazon Samaniego award,” the activity’s casting coordinator said, adding that the recognition is meant to honorMuhlach’s significant contributions in the film and television industry.

The Samaniego award was named after the former president of the Guillermo Mendoza foundation who led the organization for 45 years until her death in 2015.

Aside from the said recognition, Muhlach also received the Film Actor of The Year Award along with GMA-7 actor Dingdong Dantes for their roles in the 2017 Star Cinema movie “Seven Sundays” directed by Cathy-Garcia Molina.

The film was a box office hit having earned a total of P271 million and was nominated for being the Movie of the Year during the 34th PMPC Star Award for Movies this year.
