Aviation hangar opens at Calapan Airport

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, Mar 13 (PIA) — The Sapphire International Aviation Academy (SIAA) has opened its newly built aviation hangar at Calapan Airport to cater to the growing demand for aircraft training for pilots.

City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan led the cutting of ribbon during the inauguration of aviation hangar of SIAA.

After the ceremonial cutting of ribbon, Col. Ernesto S. Levanza, chairman of the board of SIAA toured the attendees in all rooms and training areas of SIAA to orinet them about the services which SIAA currently offers to aspiring pilots.

In his message, Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan said, “I thanked the management of SIAA for providing here aviation hangar for the students to easily learn the basics of flying the airplane as well as familiarizing its parts.  Students need not go to Manila to become a pilot and even become a flight steward because everything they need is here already.”

Likewise, the local chief executive thanked Levanza for choosing Calapan City as place for aviation training and he included SIAA as one of the pillars of the city now.

SIAA is a private Philippine corporation engaged in providing pilot training for students desiring to embark on a career in aviation.  It is now in Calapan City.  (LTC/DN/PIA-Mimaropa/Calapan)
