NEGOS OCC., September 13 (PIA6)— Some 40 participants who attended the Basic Life Support Training at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Conference Room-Bacolod Silay-Airport completed the course conducted by the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
The one-day training tackled and imparted skills on Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation, Automated External Defibrillator and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction to emergency responders, health practitioners and some employees of the CAAP.
Also discussed were principles of emergency care and introduction to Basic Life Support.
The participants underwent through lecture and actual demonstration supervised by CLMMRH medical personnel.
Those who passed the written and actual examination received certifications from the Health Emergency Management Bureau of the Department of Health- CLMMRH.
Himelie Fernandez of the CAAP expressed elation on the positive response from the various National Government Agencies and Local Government Units.
CAAP also cited the enthusiasm and cooperation of the participants.
The activity is just one of the many programs that CAAP has lined-up that will culminate to a full-scale airport safety exercise on October 26. (JBG/Lljr-PIA6)
