TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Oct. 10 (PIA) — The Cagayan Electric Cooperative 1 (Cagelco 1) has offered free replacement for drop wires and electric meters damaged or destroyed during the onslaught of Typhoon Ompong.
General Manager Tito Lingan said consumers who availed the replacement were not asked of any single cent, instead, they asked consumers to submit any old receipt of payment to ensure that the electric meter is registered under the cooperative.
For those whose electric meters and drop wires are not yet replaced, Lingan said consumers may submit their names at their four area offices: in Tuguegarao City; at Maddaralug Main Office for the towns of Enrile, Peñablanca, Solana and Amulung West; at Sta. Barbara Office in Piat town for the towns of Tuao, Rizal, Sto. Niño and Piat; and at Baybayog Alcala area office in Alcala town for the towns of Iguig, Amulung East, Alcala and Baggao.
Should all the lines be restored the soonest time possible, Lingan reminded the consumers to settle their bills before the due date to avoid disconnection. (MDCT/GVB/PIA 2-Cagayan)
