Capiz PPO vies for national award

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, July 13 (PIA) – A team from the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was at the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) in Camp Apil here, July 6, to evaluate and validate the CPPO as one of the three finalists for the 2017 Best Provincial Police Office (PPO) national award.

CPPO has been shortlisted into the top 10 from 80 nominees until it clinched into the remaining top three spots for the award.

The team, led by PNP’s Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management (DICTM) executive officer and PPO Field Evaluation and Validation chairperson Chief Supt. Norberto D. Solomon, was given welcome honors upon arrival at CPPO.

Capiz police director Senior Supt. Samuel Nacion presented the CPPO’s significant and major projects as well as accomplishments from January 2017 to April 2018 during a briefing for the team at the camp’s Transformation Hall.

Solomon lauded the presentation.

He noted that the other contenders for the award are Davao Del Norte and Bulacan PPOs.

The selection of awardees is being done in view of the 117th Police Service Anniversary celebration in August. 

The briefing was followed by the actual evaluation and validation of presented documents and projects.
