DAR wraps up leg for CPWASH projects

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Sept. 28 (PIA6) — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-North held its last leg of launchings for Community-Managed Potable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (CPWASH) projects in northern Negros.

Nabinay Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Barangay Daga in Cadiz City is the last cooperative to receive the low-cost water sanitation facility.

All 64 farmer beneficiaries and members of the Nabinay Agrarian Reform Cooperative including other members of the community will benefit from the project.

Cadiz City Cooperative Development Council Head Shen Villena in his message said that the coop should value and ensure the sustainability of every project they receive from the government.

Meanwhile, according to Enterprise Development and Economic Support Chief Teodoro Che Salido, the construction of the water sanitation facilities is set to start on October and will be turned over to the cooperative the following month.

Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer Rosemarie Perono and Barangay Daga officers also graced the launching of the project. (LTP/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
