CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro, Apr. 29 (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office recently trained 66 self-employed workers on entrepreneurship development from various workers’ organizations in the towns of Bongabong and Roxas held at the Roxas Municipal Conference Room.
According to Mari-jo L. Cordova, staff of DOLE OrMin, the training took two days which highlighted the important key elements of livelihood undertakings like marketing, production, financial and organization management.
The training aimed at developing the capability of the workers to handle as well as sustain livelihood projects towards building enterprises in their respective communities.
DOLE OrMin Field Officer Engr. Juliana H. Ortega presented on the exercise of transparency, diligence and integrity towards the attainment of entrepreneurship success and development.
According to Cordova, at the end of the training, the participants engaged themselves in a business writeshop which enabled them to prepare a rough draft of their livelihood proposals using the DOLE-prescribed template. She said, the final outputs of the participants would bring additional livelihood projects for DOLE funding this year. (LTC/MLC/DOLE-OrMin)
