KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato, Aug. 24 (PIA)— Past and present leaders of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) in the province are set to convene in an SK alumni homecoming set on Thursday.
The said event will be spearheaded by the SK Provincial Federation and the Provincial Youth Development Office.
SK Provincial Federation President Sarah Joy Simblante said SK leaders will be give recognition for their significant contributions in the development of the youth in the province.
“These leaders have been molded and developed into servant leaders and have taken their paths to serve the community. They have gone through sacrifices which also serve as their inspiration in working hard for the benefit of youth,” she said.
Simblante added that Governor Emmylou Mendoza will also be present in the activity as she is also a product of SK.
“It’s a great privilege for us to also hear the governor’s experiences, learnings and, suggestions especially in the implementation of programs and projects that are relevant and timely.”
The SK alumni homecoming program will highlight getting to know activities, games, solidarity lunch, Istorya ng SK, privilege speech tagged as “MensahesaBagong SK,” words of commitment and solidarity dance.
This event is one of the lined-up activities in celebration of the 104th Founding Anniversary and Kalivungan Festival of the province which anchored on the theme: “Cotabato: Tahanan ng Nagkakaisang Sambayanan.” (NCot PGO-IDCD)
