Isabela PDRRMC approves P176-M disaster fund for 2019

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Jan. 11 (PIA) — The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) here has approved the 2019 Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRM) fund during the 1st Quarter Regular meeting held at the capitol Friday.

Basilio Dumlao, officer-in-charge PDRRM officer, who presided the meeting, said the council has approved the LDRRM fund amounting to P176, 928, 264.

He said 30 percent or a total of P53, 078, 464 out from the total LDRRMF fund will be utilized for victims, dependents, immediate families including OFWs who will be affected by calamities,  be it a natural or man-made.

Dumlao said the remaining 70 percent of the LDRRM fund will be utilized on preparedness and mitigation projects, general public services, health, education, housing and community development and several other operational expenses.

“The approval of the LDRRM fund is a big help in ensuring the safety of Isabelinos in times of disasters,” Dumlao said. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
