Koronadal City kicks off Business One-Stop-Shop

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, Jan. 8 (PIA) — The city government of Koronadal is speeding up the processing of permits of individuals or companies operating businesses in the city through its Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) which started on January 3.

It houses government agencies involved in business renewal and licensing at its lobby until January 20, 2019.

Owners and representatives of small, medium, and large-scale business flock the Koronadal City’s Business One-Stop-Shop on the first day of business renewal and licensing for 2019.

Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS) Head Gilbert Gayosa said that BOSS is in accordance with Republic Act No. 11032, known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

Gayosa noted that the city government has been implementing BOSS even before the law was passed.

“We’ve been doing this for the 5th year now. This helps facilitate the smooth flow of documents and save the business owners’ time, money and effort,” Gayosa said.

Among the offices included in the one-stop shop are the City Mayor’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Assessor’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Engineering Office, City Health Office, City Information Office, City Market Supervisor’s Office, Social Security System, Department of Trade and Industry, PhilHealth, PAGIBIG, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and Bureau of Fire Protection.

Gayosa reminded business owners to register on time to avoid surcharges and other fees. (ORVRivera-PIA12)
