The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) announced that it has opened additional voucher slots for Educational Service Contracting (ESC) grants for incoming grade 7 students for the period of May 15 to 25, 2018.

Each participating school may request for additional 50 slots through the online ESC Information Management System. However, priority will be given to schools who offer the junior high school curriculum without or with minimal top-up fees.

The PEAC is tasked to implement the provisions of the Fund Assistance to Private Education (FAPE) as directed by Executive Order No. 156 since November 5, 1968 after the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations campaigned for a share in the government’s special education fund.

The committee is chaired by the Secretary of the Department of Education and is composed of representatives from the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities (ACSCU), and the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU).
