CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Sept. 25 (PIA)—The Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC)-10 urges students and film enthusiasts to join the first-ever RJJWC Film Festival 2018 highlighting the ‘Jail No Child’ advocacy of the committee.
The competition aims to encourage filmmaking enthusiasts to address and reflect on Mindanao experiences, voices, aspirations and issues particularly on Child Protection and Rights of Children.
The film festival will be composed of student and professional categories.
To join the contest, student enthusiasts must be currently enrolled in any school or university in Northern Mindanao and should submit a certification from school dean or professor who attests the originality of the produced film.
For both professional and student categories, interested participants must submit the resume or biodata of either the film director or producer with 2×2 identification photos, one-page synopsis and a two-minute trailer of the film, film poster (13×19 in) in JPEG, and the duly accomplished form, which can be downloaded at RJJWC FOX Facebook account.
Short films, with a minimum of 5-minute running time (10 minutes max), should be submitted in MPEG4 file format and should be entitled with the Category_Title format either through Google Drive at firstname.lastname@example.org or flash drive or hard disk drive (HDD) that can be copied during submission either at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Field Office 10 or Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-10 Office at Masterson’s Avenue, Upper Carmen, here.
Entries should be submitted with the complete requirements on or before November 15, 2018. Failure to comply with the requirements means non-acceptance of entry.
Winners of the film festival will bag Php10,000, Php7,000 and Php5,000 for the first to third places respectively. (RTP/PIA10)
