OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, September 21 (PIA)–The city government of Ozamiz in partnership with the National Police Commission (Napolcom) held an orientation and Memorandum of Agreement signing on the Community and Service Oriented Policing (CSOP) held at the Bethany Garden, Ozamiz City recently.
The CSOP system is a Napolcom project aimed at improving the problem-solving approach of the police, local executives and the citizenry to solve crime and public safety concerns.
Napolcom Assistant Regional Director Region 10, Lawyer Erlina Susan Lorea said that the CSOP system shall serve as a crime prevention framework that would strengthen partnership among the police, local executives, and community, as well as raise consciousness among police officers of their vital role in assisting the local executives to effectively deliver basic services to the community.
Acting City Mayor Irene Luansing, PCI Jovie Espenido and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) have signed a “Community Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) System Implementation” which is the goal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
Lorea during her lecture on Community and Service-Oriented Policing System said this is now one of the best Law Enforcement System in the government because of its PNP, Local Chief Executives (LCEs) and community partnership. (Shaine Mae R. Nagtalon/PIA Misamis Occidental)
