LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, June 13 (PIA) – – The Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PRO-COR) conferred Proficiency awards to 35 police units in three provinces in the Cordillera on Monday, June 10 at Camp Bado Dangwa here.
Chiefs of police and company commanders with their respective Advisory Councils received their respective awards, either Gold Eagle or Silver Eagle, during the Performance Governance System (PGS) Proficiency Stage conferment ceremony.
The Proficiency Evaluation Process is the third stage of the Philippine National Police’s Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding of the Rule of Law (P.A.T.R.O.L.) Plan 2030 for the attainment of the vision of a highly capable, effective and credible police service.
Police unit with a rating of 96 to 100 percent is given the Gold Eagle award while unit with 90 to 95.99% rating receives the Silver Eagle award. A unit with a passing rate but below 90% gets certificate of appreciation.
For the province of Ifugao, PRO-Cor conferred the Gold Eagle award to the Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and the Lagawe Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Silver Eagle award to MPSs of Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista, Asipulo, Banaue, Hingyon, Hungduan, Lagawe, Lamut, Mayoyao and Tinoc.
For Benguet, Bakun and La Trinidad MPSs were awarded the Gold Eagle seal. Recipients of the while Silver Eagle award were the PMFC, and the MPS of Atok, Buguias, Itogon, Kabayan, Kapangan, Kibungan, Mankayan, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay . Bokod MPS received certificate of appreciation.
In Kalinga, Rizal MPS received also a Gold Eagle award while Silver Eagle awardees were the MPSs of Balbalan, Lubuagan, Pasil, Pinukpuk, Tabuk, Tanudan, Tinglayan and the PMFC.
These units successfully passed the Proficiency Evaluation Process composed of three sequential phases – the Strategic Readiness Test or SRT, the Performance Audit and the Unit Revalida.
Conferment ceremony for the proficiency seals for Baguio City and the provinces of Apayao and Mountain Province is set on June 17.
Guest of honor and speaker, P/ BGen. Allan Cuevillas, Director for Integrated Police Operation, Northern Luzon, lauded the police officers for a job well done.
“Your efforts as peacekeepers made your community as one of the safest region in the country with low crime rate and high crime clearance and solution efficiency. Let’s take the example of those who have gone before us and live through the oath as protectors of peace,” he said.
