ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Sept. 28 (PIA) — Some 3,000 individuals from the different sectors in the community are expected to attend the provincial rollout in Capiz of the Biyaya ng Pagbabago para sa Masagana at Matiwasay na Buhay Pilipino (BIYAYA NG PAGBABAGO) Program.
The Biyaya ng Pagbabago is a poverty alleviation program of the Office of the Participatory Governance (OPG)/Office of the Cabinet Secretary under the Office of the President.
OPG-Visayas Cluster Director IV Wendell Martin Cabrera said the program for the provincial rollout will be held on September 29 at 8:00 a.m. at the Capiz Gymnasium of the Villareal Stadium in Roxas City.
He explained that the program aims to help alleviate poverty and improve the living conditions of the people, especially the marginalized and the most impoverished.
Kilusang Pagbabago chair Eric Aguihap, who is also the Provincial Lead Convenor of the program, said top government officials to include OPG Undersecretary Joselito “Penpen” T. Libres, Department of Social Welfare and Development Assistant Sec. Rhea Peñaflor, OPG-Visayas Director IV Wendell Martin Cabrera and Department of the Interior and Local Government Usec. Martin Diño, are among the guests who confirmed their attendance to the event here.
The participating agencies to the Tour of the Biyaya Expo here include the Presidential Complaint Center and 8888, National Housing Authority, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Labor and Employment, National Food Authority, and other national government agencies and private institutions which will provide services to the public.
“By bringing these different government agencies here, the public will be given access to their services as well as have the opportunity for their queries and concerns to be addressed,” Aguihap said. (LTP/JBG/PIA6-Capiz)
