CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, June 14 (PIA) – – SM Cauayan City on Tuesday simultaneously joined the 120th Philippine Independence Day celebration by showcasing the country’s rich history, arts and culture.
Gracing the celebration are local government officials, police, fire and army personnel, including the 2018 Gawagaway-yan beauties.
Krytal Gayle Agbulig, SM Cauayan City Public Relations Manager, said the various paintings displayed at the mall’s gallery depict the country’s rich culture, history, sceneries and icons from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
“The gallery symbolizes unity of Filipinos despite the diverse cultures and beliefs wherein the panel of art installations are interlocked to each other and forms the colors of the Philippine Flag,” Agbulig said.
City Councilor Bagnos Maximo, for his part, urged Cauayeños to always
pay tribute and express gratitude to our forefathers who sacrificed and bore the bloodiest battles to achieve our freedom .
“And as we pay tribute to the heroes who fought for what was right and just, may they continue to inspire us towards the straight path. Let us take to heart and live out the lesson they have left for us,” Maximo added. (ALM/MGE/PIA-2 Isabela)
