Tabuk City celebrates CSC Month with job fair

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Sept. 24 (PIA) –The province’s capital marked the 118th anniversary of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) with a job fair last September 21 here where ten were hired on-the-spot.

Provincial Labor and Employment Officer Avelina Manganip said the activity, in partnership with the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), offered job openings for local and overseas employment.

There were 127 applicants with 106 qualified for hiring and 10 were hired on the spot. Of the 106, 66 applied for jobs overseas while 50 filed for local employment.

This was the sixth job fair organized by DOLE-Kalinga this year.

Manganip encouraged more applicants to visit their office as job opening is high this time.

Meanwhile, Manganip reminded the new minimum wage in the city of P315/day to employers with more than 10 workers and P305/day to employers with 10 and below. (JDP/LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)   

The  job fair   sponsored by the  Department  of Labor and Employment and the City government of Tabuk  in celebration of the Civil Service Month  gathered   127 applicants  with  ten  of them  hired on the spot.
