TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Jan. 11 (PIA) — The Nueva Vizcaya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NVCCI) here recently reorganized its membership after more than a decade of dormancy.
According to Cloyd Velasco, Regional Governor of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in Region 2, at least 25 businessmen from different establishments in the province attended the reorganization meeting.
Among the attendees, Magtanggol Maniquiz, owner of Techno Farms here, was elected president. The newly-elected officers were later inducted into office.
Under the theme, “Collaborating for Change”, the NVCCI hopes to provide members with more than adequate programs, services and avenues for pursuing the shared mission of creating globally competitive enterprises.
The NVCCI, in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Nueva Vizcaya, will also work to bring the province’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) towards the mainstream of development, providing employment and income opportunities for all.
With the revitalization of the NVCCI, Velasco said the business sector of Nueva Vizcaya will have a legal opportunity to sit in various government committees and be heard in matters affecting them. (ALM/PIA-2/with reports from DTI-2)
